Speaker Biography:
John is a graduate of St. Edward High School and Ohio Wesleyan University, magna cum laude, with a BS in Economics. He began tenure with Manco* Sales Department in 1985; promoted to National Sales Manager in 1987; Executive Vice President of Sales in 1994, Chief Operating Officer in 1996, and President in 1997. After spending four years as the President and COO, John became CEO in January 2001, upon Jack Kahl’s retirement. John is a member of the American Hardware Manufacturers Young Executives Council and a participant in the Baldwin Wallace College Executive Development Forum. He is, also, a member of Young Presidents’ Organization and Leadership Cleveland, Class of 2000, a Advisory Board Member of Shearer’s Foods, Inc., Brewster, Ohio, and a Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Member - Board of Directors.

John resides in Avon Lake, is married, and has two young children. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and skiing.

*Manco, Inc. had a name change to Henkel Consumer Adhesives, Inc. effective 05/31/02 – Purchased by Henkel KGaA (Germany) in 1997. 08/04
