Speaker Biography:
Matt is head of the Individual Insurance Group (Product, Sales & Marketing), which includes the Individual Life and Annuity Businesses, the Career Agency System, our broker-dealer (MML Investor Services Inc.), the MassMutual Trust Company and MassMutual Settlement Solutions.

Prior to his current role, Matt supervised the Disability Income and Long Term Care Businesses, managed the Life and Long Term Care Product Development Division, and ran the Compliance Division for MassMutual and Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Companies.

Matt also practiced white-collar criminal defense and complex commercial litigation from 1991 through 1994, and held various positions during his twelve-year active duty career with the U.S. Army (1979-1991). Matt spent an additional nine years as a reservist and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Matt is registered with the National Association of Securities Dealers and holds Series 7, 24 and 63 registrations. He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York; Commonwealth of Massachusetts; State of Connecticut; Federal District Court, District of Connecticut; United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court. Matt is a member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Opera, Chairman of the Board of MML Investor Services, Inc., and Chairman of the Board of the MassMutual Trust Company.
