R. Steven Kiser

Speaker Biography:
Mr. Kiser is a former officer with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineer who served with DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency). He joined Xerox in 1973 and worked on the early stages of the Internet and some of the original developments of mouse, Windows, GUI (graphic user interface) and word processing technologies. He was promoted to Director of Integrated Solutions, Marketing and Sales and grew the organization to over $200 million in revenues. In 1990, he was named Director of Worldwide Marketing for the Integrated Solutions Business. In 1995, Xerox named Mr. Kiser President of the XSoft Division, where he managed 1,500-employees and made preparations for an eventual public positioning.

He also served as President and CEO for a startup software division of Xerox known as Chrystal Software, which he quickly grew to the share leader in the SGML/XML publishing market. Mr. Kiser joined Candle Corporation as Vice President and General Manager leading his division to generating over 80% of the company’s entire revenue.

Prior to joining SecureInfo, Mr. Kiser was Senior Vice President Research and Development and Product Marketing for Peregrine Systems in San Diego, California, a leading provider of consolidated asset and service management solutions. Peregrine's revenues grew to $490 million through more than 20 separate acquisitions, and Mr. Kiser was responsible for consolidating many aspects of these companies' diverse sets of technologies and processes.
