Randy Goldsmith

Speaker Biography:
Under the leadership of Dr. Randy Goldsmith the SATAI Network manages a portfolio of programs designed to promote and support technology-based entrepreneurial ventures, investments, service provider networks, and research and development initiatives. He is a founding member of the national Capital Formation Institute, the Texas Coalition for Capital, and the Defense Transformation Institute.

Dr. Goldsmith, an expert in technology commercialization and local capital formation, has made numerous presentations on growing technology-based economies in national and international venues. The United Kingdom, NASA, the states of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kentucky and numerous economic development organizations have adopted his Technology Commercialization Model.

Prior to joining SATAI, he served as President and CEO of the Oklahoma Technology Development Corporation where his team was successful in assisting 60 new companies secure more than $280 million of investment capital over a three -year period.

Dr. Goldsmith also spent several years as Director of the University of Houston Clear Lake’s Technology Center, a subcontractor to NASA’s Johnson Space Center. His responsibilities included commercializing space and energy-related technologies.

He recently received the Distinguish Service Award from the Federal Laboratory Consortium. Dr. Goldsmith serves on a variety of national, state, and local boards of directors. A native of Abilene, Texas, Goldsmith holds doctorate and master degrees in Urban and Regional Planning from Texas A&M University and a BA degree from Hardin Simmons University.
