Speaker Biography:
Christine J. Prescott is the CEO/owner of Corporate Travel Planners, Inc., Rennert Cruise and Tour, HEB Champagne Vacations, and Event Planners. Christy has over 17 years of travel industry experience with special focus in management, marketing and advertising. She launched Corporate Travel Planners, Inc. in July 1991 with one employee and has since demonstrated continuous growth both in staff and sales, reporting over $110 million in 2001. Corporate Travel Planners earned the Fast Track award for the top 40 fastest growing businesses in 1997 through 2000, received the Enterprising Women’s Award in both 1998 and 1999, and was number seven on the list of Top Women Owned Business in San Antonio. In addition, Corporate Travel Planners has been on the list of top 25 travel agencies since 1992.

Christy is a dedicated, innovative professional with years of experience in travel management and tourism, strategic planning, advertising, marketing and public relations. The success of CTPI, employee relationships and client relationships is evidence of Christy’s excellent management skills, technology innovations, cost control orientation, and conscientious hands-on work ethics.

Christy was born in Kearney, Nebraska and was graduated from Herington High School in 1982. She attended Cloud County Community College in Concordia, Kansas earning her Associates in Travel and Management. Moving to San Antonio in 1983 she became well known for her community service and consistent contributions to many local charitable organizations to include Sylvania Alamo Bowl, San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Golf Tournament, Cystic Fibrosis, American Heart Association and United Way as a Pacesetter. She is also a member of Rotary Club, Financial Executives Institute, Y.E.O., on the board of Business Careers High School Travel and Tourism Academy, and Leadership San Antonio. Christy is also involved and has founded her own charity, Christy’s Hope for Battered Women and Children.
