Kathryn Wylde
President and CEO New York City Partnership and Chamber of Commerce
Speaker Biography:
The New York City Partnership & Chamber of Commerce is the city’s premiere business leadership organization. Established by David Rockefeller (1973 HBSCNY Business Statesman), the Partnership has been responsible for significant programs in housing and economic development, education, public safety and employment.
Wylde is also the founding President and CEO of the New York City Investment Fund, the Partnership’s economic development arm that was founded and is chaired by Henry R. Kravis. The Fund, with more than $100 million under management, was among the original civic investment funds organized to provide financial support and business expertise fro projects that stimulate job creation and economic growth in the city and its neighborhoods. An internationally known expert in housing and economic development, she has advised or consulted with foundations, cities and nonprofit organizations. Currently, Wylde serves on the boards of the Biomedical Research Alliance of New York, the TeleMedia Accelerator, the Manhattan Institute, and the Research Foundation of the City University of New York. She is on the Advisory Boards of the Metropolitan Center of Brookings Institution, the Center for an Urban Future, the Center for a New Economy (Puerto Rico) and the Publications Committee of City Journal.
Wylde graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Phi Beta Kappa, from St. Olaf College in 1968. She is the first woman to receive the HBSCNY Business Statesman award.
